Our experience on
Dog and cat ultrasound
- An ultrasound examination is a safe, non-invasive, painless examination and advanced imaging technique.
- It utilizes high-frequency sound waves as a means to create an image of the internal organs.
- With ultrasound, we can examine abdominal, vascular and musculoskeletal regions, without having to perform surgery. Also, we can detect many diseases that we would not be able to diagnose with just a clinical exam.
- Ultrasound scannings are complementary to x-rays. Usually, first we perform a physical examination, blood tests, and x-rays. And when all these indicate a possible problem, we then use ultrasound examination.
- They are especially useful for abdominal diseases. They even often help us diagnose a health problem in the abdomen when x-rays cannot.
